Donna’s Tomato and Celery Smoothie

Let’s switch up breakfast today with a totally different taste but no less nutrient dense and lacks nothing when it comes to flavor. I’ll focus on the health benefits of celery in this drink.

Celery has long been considered a medicinal herb used to treat a variety of health problems since ancient times. Today it is used daily in juices at many healing institutes. It is one of the most hydrating foods. It is incredibly alkalizing. That is why its real “claim to fame” is its anti-inflammatory health benefits. Celery is rich in key electrolyte minerals necessary for fluid balance. It contains potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, folic acid, iron, phosphorus and essential amino acids. Serves 1-2.
